A Message From The President

Hello All,

What a great start to driving season. 

In May we joined members from 4 other regions (Silver Sage, High Desert, Pacific Northwest and BC Interior) for a wonderful drive called the Journey Through Time.  This event was put together by Eric Pielstick, Paul Gassman and Melanee Johnson, with some assistance from Bill Roberts and myself.

For some reason my article about the trip would not copy into this mail so I have attached the story as a .pdf for you all to read.  Sorry for the inconvenience, but I really wanted the photos included with the story.

It takes a team to put an event like this together therefore I would like to thank Erik and Paul for putting such a great drive together.  And thanks to Melanee and Bill for making sure all the hotels and meals were arranged.

GRCR Communications Position

We are currently seeking a Communications Chair—a vital role for our Region and an exciting opportunity to shape how we share information moving forward!

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Sharing updates with members about regional and national events, elections, and other items of interest.
  • Supporting the Region’s media and public relations by working with the Board, Event Chairs, Advertisers, and Dealerships.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with local newspapers, magazines, radio, and TV outlets.
  • Collaborating with the Region’s Social Media Chair and Website Chair.
  • Promoting awareness of our Region’s events, the PCA, and Porsches in general.
  • Helping grow interest in membership by highlighting our cars, our people, and the Porsche driving experience.
  • Partnering with the PCA Executive Director and National Office staff to spotlight major events such as Parade, Treffen North America, and other PCA national activities hosted in our Region.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with contact management software (such as MailChimp) is a plus. Currently, our communications are primarily distributed via email and the Region’s website.
